Interview en français en première page

Hi, thanks for the interview ! First of all, coud you briefly introduce yourself for our readers who may not know you yet ?

I’m just a person who love to sing and I got the opportunity to sing for a real long time with different artists and all over the world.

Is that the reason why you chose your singer career over your actress career these past few years ?

In the Chinese artistic world, being over 40 years old is a real limit. It’s hard to continue as an actress. If someone wants me for an ordinary role, I’m not going to take it if it’s only to act.

How would you describe your musical style ?

I’ve really done a lot of concerts. But concerts nowadays, it’s almost always the same thing. We’ve got beautiful lighting effects, 3D screens and sometimes even really unexpected stage outfits, but I think that singing is something that we have deep inside of us. I don’t stand singing alone, but with everybody else. During my shows, I sing along with the audience.

Precisely, among your entire musical universe, if you had to choose one of your songs to present your music to someone who doesn’t know you at all, which one would you choose ?

It would be my song « 為愛痴狂 » [editor’s note : « Wèi ài chīkuáng » or « Crazy For love » for the international name].

And why this song and not another for example ?

Firstly, because it’s one of the first songs I released in my career, and also because of the meaning of this song. For love, we give our everything, and we even become a little crazy. I’m naturally like this, et not only for love, but also for my friends and the entire world. I do everything for love with a little bit of craziness.

In 2012, you released the song « C’est quoi l’amour ? » [editor’s note : « What is love ? » in English], and you even filmed some scenes of the music video in Paris, why did you choose this reference to France ?

In 2012, I stayed here for a while. It was a difficult time for me. Since I was born, I came here many times. I come here to recharge my batteries when I get through a hard time, and in 2012 I had problems with my boyfriend ; at this time I had a lot to say, so I wrote this song.

You already did a lot of collaborations with other artists, but if you could choose another one to work with, who would you pick ?

Li Zhong Shen ! I met him several times, and working with him has always been interesting.

And for your next single, would you like to collaborate with an artist you never worked with ?

Yes, of course ! By working with different persons, we have different feelings.

You’re currently on your world tour and you already went through a lot of cities around the world like Beijing or Los Angeles. As of now on this tour, what is your best memory ?

Don’t trap me with this question, it could be tonight’s concert ! (laughs) Every cities and every moments are different. Everything seems wonderful to me. Live shows are not like the cinema. At the cinema, you’ve got something permanent that you can see everywhere else, but for concerts, everything changes : venues, people, and me too, so it’s unique.

It’s your first gig in Paris, so did you prepare something special for your French fans ?

In London, organisers wanted to end it before 2 hours and a half but it lasted longer and we exceeded 3 hours. I know that the show today is sold out, and I’ll try to sing as many songs as I can, unless it’s really too late. (laughs)

After the end of your world tour, which reaches its end in a few dates only, what are your upcoming projects ?

Usually, I don’t project anything. In Chinese language, we’ve got the old saying « A project is never as fast as changing ». It means I don’t want to think about it right now. Furthermore, people around me like to do projects for me, so I’m waiting. When someone offers something to me, if it’s really fun, I do it.

It will now be our last question. Have you got any special message to your fans ?

I hope everyone is fine, in every fields !

Thank you very much !

Thanks ! Enjoy your life !
